The intention of sex and intimacy coaching is to explore your desires in a supportive, safe environment. Sex coaching is very different from sex therapy in many ways. If you were to think of traditional therapy as the “who, what, when, and why” sex coaching answers the question- “how?”.What this means is that your relationship with Heidi is therapeutic, but not therapy.
Heidi works with people that want to tap into their core intimate and/or sexual desires. Her passion is showing others where their sexual power and tenderness resides. The core element to her practice is connection and intimacy; her work with clients is based on somatic teaching (rather than cerebral)-learning to feel and stay present in your body. Whatever aspect of your sexual or intimate relationships that you want to work on- be it romance, communication, connection, or sexual expression- can be done in your sessions with Heidi.
Not only will you learn how, but you’ll also practice what you’ve learned in real time. As humans, we need to be able to have healthy, safe, consensual, sex and intimacy to be able to live our happiest and most fulfilling lives. Heidi uses empathy, compassion, personal experience, humor, and attunement through a non-judgmental filter to help you find what you’ve been longing for and what you’ve been missing.
Heid’s work as a doula has given her a dual skill set as a sex and intimacy coach. Heidi has decades of experience teaching and talking with people about sex, intimacy, and attunement. Her specialties as a sex coach include working with the LGBTQIA2+ community, that she herself is a member of. She also has unique and additional training in BDSM, Kink and D/s. She is poly-affirming, having been a part of several unconventional relationships personally.
As a doula she has worked with families in Kansas City for almost 2 decades, served 500+ families and has trained 1800+ doulas worldwide. Her work in KC for mothers and babies has put her in the spotlight over her tenure, for being a leader and pioneer for doulas in Kansas City as well as the US.
Heidi has intuition when it comes to reading body language, especially when you can’t speak. Attunement and the ability to connect to another person comes naturally to her. She can gently but confidently guide you, your body, and your partner to trust what you cannot see- your own innate wisdom to give birth to your baby. She has a knowledge and understanding of many different methodologies for labor and birth and is respectful of different cultures, races, sexualities, and gender identities. For her lifetime she has been a source of strength, a pillar, for her clients, family, and friends, during difficult times of stress and chaos. Her strengths lie in her ability to educate and support in such a way that any bias or judgement isn’t felt by those around her.
Heidi is known for her authenticity particularly as it carries into her work as a doula. Her charisma and optimistic attitude along with her relatable sense of humor puts those around her at ease. She is a strong advocate for truth and autonomy for every body. Because of her long history and stellar reputation in Kansas City, she is highly respected by doctors, midwives, and nurses in all hospitals and birth centers.
