A candlelit sound bath with journaling is an evening of deep rest by candlelight. You lie down while live bowls, gong, and chimes fill the room, with guided writing before and after. Join Joann of Carried Sound on Friday, November 13, 6:00–7:30 pm at Very Well KC in Overland Park. A take-home journal is included.
What happens during the evening?
You arrive at a candlelit room, settle onto a mat, and get comfortable under a blanket. After a short welcome and a few minutes of guided breathing, Joann plays a 40-minute live sound bath on crystal and bronze singing bowls, gong, and chimes. Then you come back slowly and finish with quiet journaling.
What will you journal about?
The prompts follow three steps:
Arrive. What are you still carrying from this year that you're ready to set down?
Notice. What came up while you listened: an image, a word, a feeling?
Carry. One thing you want more of this season, and one thing you're saying no to.
Your journal and prompt card go home with you. Sharing is always optional.
Tickets
$45Pair per person.
Every ticket includes the journal and prompt card
Mats, bolsters, and blankets provided. Spots are limited by mat space.
Do you need experience?
No. You don't need any meditation or journaling practice. Most people find they settle faster than they expected.
What should you wear and bring?
Wear soft, comfortable layers, since the room stays cozy but you'll be lying still. Everything else is provided.
Who should check in first?
If you're pregnant, have epilepsy, a pacemaker or another implanted device, or sound sensitivity, talk with your healthcare provider and let Joann know before booking.
