These Integrative Care Partners operate their own practices and may offer virtual or off-site services. We share them here as a resource for clients seeking expanded or specialized support beyond what is offered directly at Very Well KC.

Marriage and Family Therapist

With Chanelle Johnson, M.S., PLMFT

Chanelle Johnson M.S., PLMFT (she/her) is a marriage and family therapist pursuing independent licensure in the state of Missouri. She works with adults, teens, and couples navigating anger, developmental and relational trauma, body image and eating concerns, relationship challenges, grief, and the complicated seasons of life that don't always have simple answers.

Chanelle works with thoughtful, capable people who are pretty used to figuring things out on their own. They've read the books, listened to the podcasts, and can often explain why they feel the way they do. What they're looking for isn't another quick fix. It's a place to better understand themselves, to feel more connected in their relationships, and to stop carrying so much on their own.

Chanelle's approach is curious, honest, and deeply human (with a touch of humor and sarcasm). She believes people often make far more sense than they give themselves credit for. Instead of "What's wrong with you?", she is usually wondering "Given everything you've lived through, how does this make sense?" Therapy becomes a place to slow down and understand the whole story.

Chanelle's work is informed by Internal Family Systems (IFS), the NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and somatic approaches that shape the way she understands people and relationships. But sessions don't feel full of therapy jargon, they feel like honest conversations where curiosity, compassion, and context create space for meaningful change.

Before becoming a therapist, Chanelle spent more than a decade in behavioral healthcare technology, partnering with clinicians and healthcare organizations across the country. She has also worked as a nutrition coach and group fitness instructor. While those roles all look very different, they were all rooted in the same curiosity about what helps people feel more connected to themselves. These experiences continue to shape the way she thinks about therapy today. Our emotional lives don't exist separately from our bodies, our relationships, or the environments we live in.

Chanelle doesn't expect clients to arrive with the right words or a perfectly organized story. They just need a place to start. Her hope is that clients leave therapy feeling more connected to themselves, more confident in their relationships, and more trusting of their own inner experience.

Fees & Good Faith Estimate

Individual therapy sessions are $150 for 50 minutes, and couples therapy sessions are $175 for 50 minutes. Chanelle does not currently accept insurance but can provide superbills for reimbursement. In accordance with the No Surprises Act, clients have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining the expected cost of services before beginning treatment.

Supervisor: Amy Donnelly, LMFT #2019038803

Chanelle offers both virtual telehealth sessions and in person sessions at her offices in Midtown, Kansas City.

Ashley Goldsbury

Ashley Goldsbury is the founder of Vireya, an online wellness community built on a simple belief: healing begins with feeling safe.

While Ashley's own journey through autoimmune disease, food allergies, and chronic stress shaped her passion for integrative wellness, it was watching her daughter navigate Type 1 diabetes that truly changed the direction of her life.

As their family searched for answers, support, and trustworthy education, Ashley experienced firsthand how overwhelming and isolating the wellness world could be. She saw how difficult it was to find practical, evidence-informed resources and a community that helped people feel empowered instead of overwhelmed.

That experience inspired her to pursue education in integrative health, gut health, autoimmune nutrition, and nervous system regulation—not because she believed there was one solution for everyone, but because she wanted to better understand the body as an interconnected system and help others navigate their own wellness journeys with confidence.

Ashley believes that while nutrition, movement, sleep, and lifestyle all play important roles, lasting change is difficult when the body feels stuck in a constant state of stress or survival. Her approach combines evidence-informed wellness education with practical tools—including breathwork, grounding practices, nutrition, movement, and nervous system support—to help people reconnect with their bodies and build sustainable habits that support long-term well-being.

Outside of Vireya, Ashley is passionate about strengthening her local community. She founded and coordinates her local farmers market to increase access to fresh food, support small businesses, and create meaningful connections that bring people together.

About Vireya

Vireya was born from one family's search for answers and has grown into a collaborative wellness community where no one has to navigate their health journey alone.

Rather than chasing trends or promising quick fixes, Vireya brings together trusted practitioners, coaches, educators, and evidence-informed resources in one place. Members can learn about nervous system regulation, gut health, nutrition, movement, stress resilience, sleep, and other foundational pillars of wellness while connecting with professionals and a supportive community.

At its core, Vireya exists to help people feel empowered—not overwhelmed. It's a place where education is accessible, healing is approached with curiosity and compassion, and people are reminded that lasting wellness isn't about perfection. It's about understanding your body, finding what works for you, and having a community that walks alongside you every step of the way.
