Level: All Levels welcome
Duration: 60 minutes
Instructor: Jennifer Fox
What It Is
Block Therapy is a bodywork practice that uses targeted pressure — from a wooden block or a rolled-up towel — paired with deep diaphragmatic breathing to release adhesions in the fascia, the connective tissue that surrounds every muscle, joint, and organ in the body. Each sequence works section by section, using pressure and breath together to help stuck tissue unstick and start moving the way it's meant to.
Who It's For
This class is a great fit if you're dealing with tightness, stiffness, or restricted mobility from repetitive motion, old injury, misalignment, or everyday stress. It's also a natural complement to yoga, chair yoga, Pilates, or any other movement practice you're already doing — Block Therapy works underneath those practices to help everything else move better.
What You'll Work On
Releasing fascial adhesions that limit range of motion
Improving posture and alignment from the inside out
Building flexibility and mobility through targeted pressure work
Relieving tension and stiffness to support better flow through the body
Strengthening the connection between breath and movement
What to Expect
A 75-minute guided class using the block (or towel) and breath together, moving methodically through the body. No prior bodywork experience needed — just a willingness to lean into a little pressure and breathe through it. Most people leave feeling looser, taller, and noticeably more at ease in their own skin.
