Yoga/Pilates/Meditation/Breathwork Instructors

Andrea Freemyer

Breathwork Instructor

Andrea is a neuroscientist, trauma-informed breathwork facilitator, embodiment guide and nervous system educator. Her focus is on helping humans strengthen the mind-body connection with a blend of nervous system education, embodiment exercises, breathwork, and nature-based therapies. Utilizing a combination of science, energy work, and spiritual practices- her approach promotes nervous system health, a sense of embodied safety, and a deeper connection to the presence holding us.

She is passionate about inviting people home to their bodies, hearts, and full expression. She provides a safe space that nurtures deep self-discovery and remembrance of what it feels like to be fully alive. Weaving the wisdom of the ancestors- earth, fire, water and air into all her work, she trusts that nature is a mirror reflecting back to us what disconnection has caused us to forget. She wants you to remember that all you have is now, feeling is a gift, and you are meant to be in connection- with self, nature, and others.

Nicole Revels

Yoga Instructor

Nicole started their yoga journey as a way to combat depression and anxiety. Yoga become so much more for her, and opened up their consciousness. Nicole fell in love with the community that local yoga studios offer and the conversations with random yogis before class on their mats. When Nicole isn’t doing yoga, you can find them reading a book, going on a run or bike ride, attending live music events, or playing with her cats. Nicole believes everyone should incorporate yoga into their daily life, and spend more time outside.

Erica Heise

Yoga Instructor

Erica started practicing yoga in 2004 shortly after the birth of her second child.  With a new baby (and a new body) she needed a way to define herself.  As an experienced athlete she attended her first class only to find she was awkward, lost her balance a lot, and didn’t understand her own body.  She continued to show up to classes and soon realized the benefits of spending time on her yoga mat each day.  Through 3 kids, 2 cross country moves, and the death of her Mom, yoga has always been the best way to tap into her inner strength and the constant source of centering her mind and body.

Erica strives to teach yoga breath by breath, to connect mind to body, and get the physical, emotional, and mental benefits of each pose.  Her goal is to make each student understand their body and explore the endless potential in all postures, whether that is on a chair, in a restorative pose, or in a strenuous vinyasa class.  She believes that work on the mat helps to strengthen the physical body, calm emotions, and lead to mental enlightenment.  Her workshop hours include education in breathwork healing, arm balances & inversions, anatomy, chakras, and Ayurveda.  Erica Heise

Christi Brunner

Yoga Instructor

I started my yoga journey with a DVD I found in my small town while in high school. It wasn’t until I moved to Kansas City that I stepped foot in a yoga studio and fell in love with the challenge of breath with movement and the escape from my daily anxiety. I completed my 200 hours in May of 2020 at KC Yoga Kula. Within training, I began my journey of falling in love with myself. With finding grace, love and acceptance for myself, I’ve been able to bring that to my teachings. My hope is that we may all find that and more, on and off the mat through our practice. Off the mat, I’m a mother of a sweet boy and enjoy doing all things from playdoh to hiking to snuggling to a good movie with him. I am also a boxing coach with my husband at our family’s gym.

Jenny Sherry

Pilates Instructor

Jenny’s Pilates journey began at a young age as a compliment to her ballet training. What began as injury prevention, turned into a career connecting her passion for dancing with fitness. Jenny taught Pilates in Los Angeles for over ten years and started her own virtual fitness company, The Ballet Bod, in 2016. With every class she strives to empower, motivate, and recharge her clients.  She loves her classes to flow, as you would in dance, with a focus on the mind-body connection.

Born and raised in Leawood, Jenny trained at The Kansas City Ballet School. She completed high school on scholarship from North Carolina School of the Arts as a ballet major and went on to graduate from Indiana University where she trained in the Jacobs School of Music Ballet program. While at IU she completed her 600-hour comprehensive Pilates Teacher Certification under Corinna Cosentino with training based on the original methods of Joseph Pilates. She graduated early to dance professionally with Colorado Ballet and also began her teaching journey. She went on to dance for State Street Ballet of Santa Barbara, American Contemporary Ballet, City Ballet of Los Angeles and freelanced as a dancer throughout Los Angeles. Jenny had the honor of training people in all different stages of their lives from pre/postnatal clients, athletes, actors, dancers, people with Parkinson’s disease, cancer survivors and students of all ages. She is a Pre and Postnatal Certified Coach through GGS and loves helping people find joy in their movement practice.

Off her mat, Jenny can be found spending time in nature, catching up with family and friends, with her nose in a book or spending time with her husband. This KC native is thrilled to finally return home and be a part of the Overland Park wellness community.

Jen Lin

Yoga instructor

Jennifer is a St.Louis native with a heart for KC! She began practicing yoga as a way to incorporate stretching in her workouts, but quickly fell in love with the physical, spiritual, and social elements of yoga (honorable mention - yoga fashions). When she's not doing yoga, you can find her with her canine bestie, riding her bike, dancing, or listening to music in her kayak. Jennifer believes fitness should be fun and is always looking for her next adventure.

Micaela Giessinger

Yoga Instructor

Micaela’s practice began ten years ago. What she first viewed as a physical practice, quickly grew into a form of self-expression and a way to recenter and reconnect with the soul. Micaela is trained in Vinyasa, but tried Kundalini Yoga on a whim four years ago and has been in love ever since. She loves that the mind is able to focus on mantra or breath, the body on technical movement, and this allows the intuition to come through clearly.

Another favorite form of creative expression, writing, is a regular part of Micaela’s practice. She believes writing is a powerful tool to retreat within and allow your soul to speak. Micaela attended University of Missouri where she studied to become a high school English teacher. She has a heart for sharing creative ideas and supporting others in learning more about themselves. She completed her 200-hr vinyasa training at Rising Wolf Retreat in Polebridge, Montana & West Glacier National Park through Hot Yoga of East Nashville, where she has returned for Business in Yoga training through their 300-hour program. When Micaela is not journaling or meditating, she is planning elopements for adventurous couples at her day job, catching up with friends, or connecting to nature. She can’t wait to connect with you, learn from you, and gather in community.

Nicole Jordan

Pranayma Breathwork Instructor

Nicole Jordan pursued the path to learning breathwork techniques after feeling disconnected from herself - physically and emotionally. She noticed her anxiety and physical tension began to lessen after doing activating and calming techniques. As she noticed the subtle shifts, she decided to study Breathwork as an Instructor to share with others the harmony breathwork can bring to oneself. Nicole's techniques are rooted in Pranayama - (Prana - life energy) and Yama (regulation of breath or control). She wholeheartedly believes in the power of breathwork, and how it can bring kindness, self-worth, and inner peace into all aspects of life. Nicole incorporates movement, intention, and healing visualizations into her practice. She is passionate about helping others embrace themselves in grace and love.
